2008 Avensis Headlamps

Hello all.

The poor performance of the Avesis dipped beam has been discussed in great detail but the examples given are for models pre 2007. Does this mean that the lamps are improved now? I am expecting delivery of a 2.0 D4D TR Tourer at the end of the month and wondering whether I should have some replacement bulbs at the ready!

Would be grateful for advice from anyone with experience of later model year cars.

Thay havent changed it..

I just orderd a 08 Avensis Tourer Executive Navi, and it`s supose to have xenon headligts.. but only on the lowbeam, not when you switch on the longbeam...

Then it`s a regular H1 halogen bulb..

But there is a way.. you can replace the H1 bulb with a xenon kit..

Strange how the Xenon's aren't an option for the UK Market.

Best get a HID kit or upgrade bulbs such as the Osram Night breakers plus 90%.

The poor headlight issue I believe was addressed when the 'vensis had its facelift certainly the lights on the 08 demo tourer I had a few weeks ago were a lot better than my 05 T-3X. Although those on the Prius are even better!

I find my t180 and my dads facelifted t3x have better headlights than my previous 54 plate t3x.

Well. anyhow, you can bye some on eBay and get xenon.. im intending to do that on my new one...

Toyota at the moment it seems does not offer Xenon/HID headlights on any of the UK Models.
