Selling

Well, I'm selling my T Sport soon. :(

Had it for about 18months and it's been great but I'm going back to uni in September and she just won't get the use she deserves.

So I'm making the fabulous downgrade to a 1998 Nissan Primera. At least it should do as a cheap run-around!

Anyone want to guess how long it will be until I start to get lift withdrawal symptoms?

well sadly i may be in the same boat, thing is i just cant let it go ive never had such a nice car before i love every minute i drive it.

reason is my gf has passed her test and we cant really aford to run my car and another for her so we realy need a less pwoerfull car for us both to be insured on

oh also my gf is expecting so need to save on petrol and insurence etc.

at the moment im glued to the car cant let it go but we shall see what happens :)

get a primera 2.0, you wont really miss the Corolla that much i wouldnt have thought, surely its a bit nicer inside, and a bit softer but Primeras are not all bad:)

Get a 2.0 SE or similar for decent kit. Heck, maybe even a P11-144 these days for a couple of grand!

I've got a 2.0 SE lined up from my mate's grandad who's given up driving.

Just need to sell the TS now, then move on to wondering why nothing's happening when I press the accelerator!

I had a 98 GX- a 1.6 - you really needed to make sure nothing was in sight when emerging but once up to speed it was fine.

It was built like a brick sh%t house. The wife left the hand brake off - it rolled back a bit and caved in the back of a fiesta. I reversed into a bolder that the mirrors couldn't see and finally an old biddy in a merc rear ended me at some lights. Everything including the bolder came off worse - the primera never had a mark.

My dad had a 98 Primera Si from new and it was absolutely faultless over 70k and it was never serviced properly...i highly recommend them to anyone..my mate bought a 1.6 gx as a taxi about 2 years back with 60k and put around 30k on it and again it was absolutely faultless..hes a mechanic and said its the most reliable car hes ever owned...(and there was no service book with it, so it was probably clocked)

if you are going to buy one of these buy a PRIMERA GT...can be picked up for buttons, go rightly and very reliable...woudnt even mind a mint one meself just for the sake of it.

Bring back the old Nissan instead of the *****e they are borrowing from Renault...

Id imagine the 2.0's would go rightly, 130bhp...even from driving the 1.6 it was fine, more than adequate for a runabout..

how much will you be selling your CTS for? a mate of mine is after one.

It's here on Pistonheads.

To be honest I think the price on there might be a little high (although it looks fine compared to the others on there) based on one that went for incredibly low on eBay the other day.

So I'm open to offers but if I can't get good money for it I'll just keep it!

What age & mileage was/is the CTS, and what did you get for it?
