Hiya, just after a bit of advice,

How much would you expect to pay for a powerflow exhaust for the corolla (1.4vvti) fully fit, and which is best to go for, is mainly for looks rather than performance gains!

Cheers guys

then just got a shiny chrome muffler.

it depends if u want a brandname one from japan...

apexi and the like cost around 1000aus

but u can get much heavier worse quality ones that will last as long and look as good for 350aus

Dam they are big!! but it looks great on your car

I fancied the typical jap-style one round tailpipe, not a typical-joy boy 14 foot wide one, just a nice size with a nice engine note, but having seen yours I now dont know whether to go twin pipe? hummmm

What Corolla model do you have?

Depending if you want better torque or high performance at high revs I would recommend getting a bradname exhaust from companies like HKS, C-One, TRD, ...

Powerflow... do not have any experiences with that brand,

Its the year 2000 shape 1.4, 5dr liftback E11? I think, not the usual choice of car to mod, but I think its got potential?!! ;)

Did you just get the box and tailpipe mounted onto the standard fitted system?

I got my rear section done by powerflow, which included the back box and the any style tail pipe i wanted...cost me 170 quid!!

By the way it was a 5" Jap Style tail pipe....suited my bodykit exactly and sounded great! You can get them to tweek the sound slightly if you get ur center pipe done aswell....

Hi Sly Si

with your TTE twin exhaust do you notice any difference in the performance?

and the sound how different is it from the original single exhaust?

Chris

Hi all

I've got a Powerflow system (Cat back). It's a 2" stainless pipe with mid silencer and back box with oval tail. Not too loud but a nice deep rumble. It was £270 all in if I remember correctly. I nearly went for the Jap tail pipe but chickened out ;)

I'm very happy with it but I think it's been mentioned on here before that there are some very dodgy powerflow workshops around the country as regulating quality is difficult for custom made exhausts, also being a large company.

Click on my www button to take a look at it

Cheers

Thats a nice motor, guessing by the shine its well looked after too  , yeah, I have seen and indeed heard that you have to be a bit choosy with Powerflow and other custom exhaust spots in order to get a top job done.

I'm just at thats stage at the moment were its a case of £200+ is a lot of money to me so i wanna make sure I get the facts before I have it done, probably in a few months time,

Cheers for your views!

Hi Si

havent had too much time to view the forum since i last posted this message

if you do have any vids etc, than they would be great to listen to. is the TTE twin exhaust pipe, just the back box, or is it a whole new exhaust system?

thanks

Chris

I'd reccomend looking at Peco.

I had one on my IS, sounded lovely, wasn't too badly priced, and looked very nice ..

Personally, i wouldnt go for a powerflow...

Was that PECO system a "big bore" jobby?

They are a very loud system arent they??

Powerflow fitters round here (in Morecambe) aparently do a good job, but I have heard a few too many bad reports about Powerflow myself lattely
