Reversing Sensors

The factory warranty for my '05 Avensis hatchback has now expired, so I am thinking of adding some bits. The car has no parking sensors fitted, so that is my first priority.

I don't want to drill the bumper myself to fit "traditional" sensors, and I would have trouble colour matching anyway (car is Silver Fern).

Number plate mounting sensors or a camera would require wiring up through the hinge of the tailgate to get to the stoplight wiring and this could be extremely fiddly.

I have found a supplier of an electromagnetic system that uses a metallic tape aerial stuck to the inside of the bumper which is totally invisible, that seems very attractive. The only downside I can see is that the sensed area is a little cloer to the car than the other types (0.8m instead of 1.5m)
