£240 For New Cam Belt

Hi,

I'm getting the feeling that I've just been charged over the odds for parts and labour (& VAT) on a new timing belt for a Corolla 1.3 1999,

is £240 reasonable?

I was quoted roughly that for a '53 2.0 D-4D timing belt change.

seems expensive to me - bought a blueprint t/belt a month ago and i think it was £15 or £25? only took me an hour to do at a slow pace so a mechanic could do it much quicker. looks like they have charged you about 4 hours labour. did they charge you for a t/belt or a t/belt kit?

you get new tensioners and i think new pulleys with the kit. if they fitted a kit seems more reasonable.
