 Hi Everyone, I am getting my new Aygo Blue next week and I want to make sure that I will put the right oil in when it comes to top it up, I know you have probably had this asked a thousand times, but I cannot find anywhere on here that will advise me from current Aygo owners.

Many thanks

Jason.

If you get a new Aygo next week and it starts needing the oil topped up, take it back to the dealer to fix it. There is no reason for a new car to burn or otherwise loose oil unless you have a major problem with it.

I only want to buy a litre to keep at home, as I like to keep some in the garage etc...

knowing I have some.

So what Oil will I need to buy?

The correct oil for use in your Aygo is specified in the Owners Manual that you will be given with the car.

It would be a good idea for you to read the manual to familiarise yourself with the car regarding Jacking, wheel changeing, location of weekly checked components etc.

It is worth spending some time doing this

As said previously a new car should not really need any topping up.

I got one free from the dealer when I picked up my Aygo Black , together with a bottle of wine...

never opened the oil... the wine went a long time ago...

Ours didn't user a drop in the first year of ownership and half way through the second it hasn't used any. Have a word when you pick it up 007 - they may chuck a free litre in the car for you.

Many new diesels do burn oil from new - my A3 has used about 1.5 litres in 16,000 miles from new.

22,000 miles since last Sept, never used a drop. Unlike my Focus's they all used a litre per 10000 miles

That's nowt ! My other motor is a VW Touran Diesel - according to VW the "acceptable" consumption is a litre per 1000 KM !!

Luckily mine uses about 0.5 per 10k !
