Anyone know what happened to the Yaris TS section, is it just me or did it dissapear.

The MRS & roadster section is still there, also the corolla and celica TS sections seemed to have dissapeared

The sub forums are all being re-integrated or merged into the main model forums. All the info is still in the posts, just in a different place

So why are there still specific area meet sub forums? Why not merge them?

This makes the site seem much less organised.

Instead of being able to go straight to specific threads you have to scroll through threads which are of no relevance.

Do not like it at all.

Put it back!! :)

The forums look so much tidier without subsections and no longer alienate people - if you want to find something, you can search for it, it'll still be there! :)

A T-Sport is still a Yaris/Corolla/Celica at the end of the day and after member feedback it was decided to merge all the subsections together

Put it back? Norfolk n chance.... :P ;)

Sorry do not like the new look at all.

Yes my car is still a Corolla at the end of the day but it is vastly different from AE92's, E10's, Verso etc etc

Now i have to scroll through dozens of threads which are of no interest as i do not have a great deal of knowledge about those other models.

I don't see how having sub forums alienated people.

If that was the case you would have a General forum and no model specific forums.

The site to me in that respect now seems much less user friendly.

And why are there still specific area meet forums?? Surely having a Northern meets forum alienates anybody who's not in the North?

Geography and jealousy does this well enough. :P

Just noticed that there's still an MR-S / Roadster sub forum.

Best get it merged quick before anybody gets alienated!!

It used to be like this before and no-one complained....

We changed it and people complained.....

We change it back and people complain....

It might have been an idea to have had a Poll in the General section and get everybody's feedback before making a decision.

People fear change........it's becoming more and more apparent ! :P

People do not fear changes when it is for the better !! how you can describe the changes that have taken place for the better !! I do not know why as an example the Verso forum has been put in the Corolla forum !!do you not think the MPV forum would have been more apt !! I do not think much common sense has been applied but that it not surprising

Why the change??? A little discussion with fellow members may have found out what other peoples views were or are they not very important ??

What about people who are not registered at this time !! you are unable to search unless you are a registered member and may not want to register until they can see the benefit of doing so

I personally felt that when the sub forums were first created it watered down the boards, members with T-Sports never really got to know members with T-spirits for example. In my view it made the site LESS friendly... there was less of the family atmosphere that we were used to and enjoyed. People with the base model of the same car (Yaris for example) didn't participate in the T-Sport section because they felt that the info in thee was irrelevant to them, when in actual fact a lot of the discussions that took place were not only T-Sport related.

We hope my merging the sub forums back the way they were that it will reinstall the family/friendly atmosphere of days of old... the same days of old that a lot of our longer serving members have recently been missing. It is also hoped that by doing so and bringing more people together that the local area meets can get bigger with more people attending them, without feeling slightly less of an enthusiast just because they drive a 1.0 instead of a T-Sport.

We got complaints from members when the sub forums first made their appearance but decided to give it a proper chance and see what happened, so lets give going back to the old look a chance... lets see if it helps bring more people together, if it does we could find TOC a happier place to hang out.

Because myself and Les drive one ;)

Only joking.. I really don't know tbh.. I guess it could just be an over site and will get merged soon.

Can you explain why members with Corollas will have any interest or can add anything to discussions regarding a Verso or alternately Verso owners to Corolla owners ???

Does the saying if it not broke do not try to fix it spring to mind !! but sadly sometimes people just have to justify there existence by trying to change something that works as it should

Your comments have been noted and sent upstairs.

Does that mean shut up complaining and get used to it :!Removed!:

Or does it mean we realize this could have been handled better and will do our best to rectify the mistakes we have made

If you have a look at THIS thread, within 2 hours of me posting that I thought they were a bad thing, they had gone so I think my post could well have been the last straw. I thought they were a really poor idea when they initially came in, I had a 1.0 Yaris that I loved at the time & all of a sudden there was this special forum for just those people who had the top of the range Yaris, a forum which my Yaris wasn't good enough for.

Gaz - Without meaning to sound condescending, as a T-Sport owner maybe you didn't view things in the same light as those who had a lower spec car. It really did make me feel alienated & as I've said, I'd been a member for well over a year when they came in so for someone who hadn't been around for as long it must have felt even worse.

If you want to find something that's T-Sport related, just do a quick search, it really can't be that difficult & this way people should feel that they're as welcome with their car as anyone else is with a higher or lower spec version.

I recall a lot of similar threads popping up when the sub forums first came in, people weren't happy to have them, some said they were leaving and didn't.. some said they were leaving and did, you all have a choice... damned if do, damned if we don't :ffs:

By sticking the Verso forum in the Corolla forum what is the link ???

Would a new member look in the corolla forum for information about the Verso !! no he would look in the MPV forum it just makes sense

I have no problems with the reorganization of the forums but it has to be logical

I think the Verso/Corolla argument is a valid point.. I think perhaps the MPV forum would have been better.
