I have a 1997 2WD, RAV4 with the 3SFE engine. 5 speed E250, This engine came in the MR2 if I'm not mistaken.

I would like to install an MR2 transaxle. I guess it will bolt up without any problem, but I might be wrong. Any help and/or knowledge will be appreciated. Also, I would like to take advantage of the MR2 transaxle. Which one of the MR2 transaxle is the best for performance that will bolt on to my 3SFE engine?

My transaxle is as follows:

1st- 3.83

2nd- 1.91

3rd- 1.26

4th- .92

5th- .78

Diff- 4.92

Rev- 3.603

Here is my ride. The Turbo kit is NOT installed...Yet!

Hmmmm

I've gone the other direction and fitted the 3SGTE engine from a turbo MR2 into my RAV. I had a 3SFE engine but at 127bhp was a bit slow. The 3SGTE turbo allows 270bhp up to 670bhp if you have the bucks to do it!

I looked at your car details - where did you get the suspension polybushes as I can't find them here?

I have the rear sway bar which I got from USA but haven't fitted yet....as I need polybushes before we strip the rear suspension and rebuild.

I gotta say guys I am impressed, very, but 1 question. . . . .why not just buy the real sports car and do it to that standard? Would be one of the best!
