i've got a really irritating problem with my 94 rev3 N/A. bought it a couple of weeks ago and at first the security worked perfectly (it's o/e apart from a Laserline immobilser). Now however an annoying fault has manifested itself. The immobiliser performs pperfectly- the problem is with the alarm. It arms 30 secs after locking the doors as it should, but for some reason the alarm fails to disarm when the drivers door is unlocked (from outside). I've discovered that you can prevent the alarm sounding by opening the boot, opening the door and then shutting the boot but i'd really like to get it working properly again. Weird thing is that locking the drivers door arms the system so why won't it turn the !Removed! thing off? any experiences and/or advice really welcome. Ta.

Hi. I have the same problem when unlocking the door and the alarm sounds. I have not cured mine but have found that if I turn the key to lock first, then straight back to unlock it opens nice and quietly.
