T-sport Abs Self Testing

Hi all,

I know that the ABS does a self test when the car starts and im used to that noise, but it seems to have gotten noiser over the past 6 months.

Was just wondering is this normal? Or should l start to worry? The cars on about 70k if that helps at all.

Do you mean the 'clunk' when you first set off?

I could be wrong with thinking its the ABS, it could be the VSC sorry for the confusion. (Which ever one it says in the manual does a self test and not to worry)

It sounds like a spinning/whine sound about 5-10 seconds after starting the engine.

Its being doing it every since l had the car so l assumed it was normal and when l did used to take it to Mr T they had no problems with the car.

i used to notice mine more when i first got it - hadnt noticed it for a while. listened out for it before when i took me car to the garage and could just hear it. no help their then! as long as you can hear it?

ya l can hear it so at least im happy that its still there.

Just wondered why mine seems to have got a bit nosier, spose they do over time.

Mine does this too, but my noise always coincides with me turning the wheel as I pull away so I'd assumed it was power steering related?? I'm sure it's nowt to worry about - he hopes! :D

I always thought it was something wrong with mine, as I'm parked on a driveway that slopes I thought it was my brakes facking up. haha.

Drowned by my Typhoon if I accelerated like a loon as soon as I started the car! TTE backbox being ordered soon! yay!

Our car sits between our house and next door and the sound bounces of the walls a bit like a tunnel without a roof , i dont think the neighbours enjoy the beast starting up
