Praise From The Usa For The Uk At The Olympics

We all know we've had a fantastic time at the Olympics this year but to show how much of a stir we caused read this

The USA is impressed, the Aussies are impressed

"Australian sprint star Ryan Bayley said that eight years ago, British track racers were “the laughing stock of the pit.” And now? Britain has the best-funded track cycling program in the world, their high-tech, $26,000 bikes and year-round training regimen dwarfing anything the U.S. and most of the other programs around the world can offer.

“We are laughing,” Bayley said, “because we can’t beat them.”

In the past we were plucky, now we are finally deciding, with lottery money, what we need to do. Typically for us only about 25 years too late! :D. We just need to roll out the lottery money to other sports using London 2012 as an incentive.

It's just not British sportspeople doing well, so are British sports companies. Lets see how many medals British swimwear company Speedo got in the pool :-

Well done the UK :D Of course it's so good they are talking of it being too good, a bit like composit tennis rackets are too good compared to wooden ones

After years of the UK being on a downer is it TIME FOR US TO GIVE US A BIG PAT ON THE BACK AND BE PROUD.

Too right !

It's far and away the best performance from Team GB in living memory - Winning and competing rather than attending.

Let's hope that the funding continues and we get even better for 2012 !
