hi

need to vent a bit and wondered if anyone had any advice

i had some tints fitted to my aygo last saturday, my 08 plate aygo was immaculate and my pride and joy.

when the bloke fitted the windows he was fairly gentle with my car, but on checking it yesterday I have found light scratches around the windows on the exterior of the car, then to my horror I found a fairly deep scratch on the rear arch on the drivers side. it is only a short scratch but I cant help but see it every time I get in the car also a surface scratch on the boot near the number plate

my car is the new slate blue, i knew that when I bought the car brand new that it was gonna get scratched at some point but Im still gutted.

Im going to go and see the window tinter tomorrow or the day after as he needs to check the tints anyway but I dont know whether to mention the scratches or not. I know it was done then because I havent driven the car anywhere since then and the vehicle is parked on the drive

has anyone else got this colour and have they noticed whether it scratches easily?????? Ive never known a vehicle scratch easily but one of the things the dealer said to me was that they changed the colour due to the scratches showing up on the lagoon blue models.

I kinda just feel better writing this and part of me just thinks im being naive, but I expect people to treat my car with alot of respect like it was their own. I dont know maybe I just need to get over it, it was gonna happen at some time

hello, if it was me i would bring it up with the guy who did your windows!! at the end of the day you paid alot of money for that car, if they argue you can point out the scratches by the window and if they still argue ask to speak to the manager

the only problem with that is that it was a small company, the owner/manager was the guy fitting the tints, go figure eh?

Im gonna mention it, I just dont now where it will get me, I just wish I hadnt bothered taking it now,

thanks fella

you also paid money to get them to do a job for you which they should do properly. hopefully they were unaware of it and they'll be decent enough to compensate, but unfortunately they might not admit to it. it happens.:( best of luck anyway!
