How Do I Know What Model It Is?

hi. got a corolla 1.3i 16v SE 1999 (V) which is basic enough and cheaper to use due to nowadays fuel prices and impact on money!!!

Anyway. i dont know how to ask this question but all i need to know is how do i understand what to look for in parts etc etc...

i give you an example.. my old car was a vauxhall Astra G estate... what vauxhall use is a to z. older car you would see commonly is astra h. anyway.. what do i know which model parts or things that will fit my car correctly? what do i look for specifically?

Would appreciate an answer from a wisdom forum people.
