Noise Coming From Behind Steering Wheel

I have sent now some emails to a few toyota specialist's (not dealers) in my surroundings with my youtube video and asked if they are willing to have a look at it!

Because one Toyo dealer said it's the rack that needs to be replaced and an other Toyo dealer said it's the column that needs to be replaced...

And i still think it can be fixed with some grease somewhere...

To be continued!

I have made an appointment next week with a Toyota-Specialist to have a look at my steering squeak again!

This guy worked 24 years for Toyota and started a business of his own 4 years ago!

I hope he can find it!

Possible needs my 'Steering shaft bearing' some grease, and that will solve my problem!

Update!

I was at a Toyota Specialist today to check the problem.

He knows where the problem is!

The squeaking seems to come from a plastic ring which sits around the steering wheel hub.

He told me that it is NOT the Steeringrack and NOT the Steeringcolumn! (They are fine!!)

Next week it will be fixed! :)

Mm can't answer that question for him but I've got an annoying squeaking from the steering in my new 52 plate avensis.

It's very much a whineing, squeaking, plasticy sound coming from inside the cabin either from behind the wheel or down by the pedals.I assumed the columns rubbing at the dashboard or where it passes through the bulkhead

Havent actually investigated properly but this thread has given me some great pointers.

Cheers guys !!!
