Hey guys,

I just bought a pioneer head unit with bluetooth facility. I have fitted the system in but am really confused on how to put the mic in there. Ideally i would want it to go on the driver right hand top side. But dont really know how to take it there or dismantle the trim. Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I would run it under the driverside plastics, and up the drivers side a pillar, then under the roof lining, to appear where the map light is.

all these panels can be removed by being pulled off... i think there may be a screw or two under the drivers side plastics.

Thats the 1 mate.lol. Wot i basically did was, after installing the headunit i pulled out the driver side a piller. Basically u just open your door, pull back the rubber surrounding and push it back, its just held in place with clips. Then take out the 2 bolts underneath the sterring wheel with a number 10 wrench (cant really rememba the right word for it).

Wot i did was clipped my mic on the sun visor, and then took the wire from the a piller and then under the steering wheel and then at the back of the head unit.

Hope this helps.

(P.s the head unit is awesome, especially the bluethooth, voice is crystal clear on both sides)

  • 2 weeks later...

There's a liitle space for a bluetooth mike just inside and to the right of the head unit area. Its around the area your left knee would be. Have a look , you''ll see a tiny grill there
