Id start by checking your oil, the valve lift system works on oil pressure... Also what petrol have you been using??? Try some good quality fuel like BP or Shell and see if that makes a difference..

If that doesnt work id start by changing the oil with good quality stuff, the likes of Millers or Shell Helix, change the oil filter, check the panel filter and replace the spark plugs.

Hopefully that should sort it ;)

is lift still engaging when you hit 6200? if it is it aint the oil control valve or lift bolts. sounds more like a fuelling or ignition problem. remove the spark plugs and see if they give any clues, also worth checking the fuel pump with a multi-meter. could be something simple like a leak on the inlet and clean the AFM. i gather the CEL isnt coming on?
