Broken Tacho

the tacho is wired up right i think but then i rev it only reads 2000 and when i rev it more it goes back down to 0 please help me

Not sure what is causing the problem.

Do you have any error codes?

Is your tacho damaged/condensed ?

Most likely it is a bad wiring, but don't dare to make a judgement from here.

What i always try when there are problems, is to reset the ECU of the car, but disconnecting the Battery for 30 min or so.

Pls be careful that you do not trigger any immobilization and have the radio security ready.
