Part Number Required For A/f Sensor

Hi,

Just got the light on and my mate scanned to be told it is the P1155 code. After sniffing around I realise it is the top left sensor that looks similar to a sparkplug fitting poking through the heat shield.

The Rav is a 2000 y reg 4.2 39000 miles..

Could anyone tell me the correct part number for the Sensor and what if any damage could result in using it while faulty.

The light has gone off twice only to return so the sensor is on it's way out, just to add I have checked the plugs and sockets etc hoping it was a bad connection....we live in hopes ;)

Has anyone fitted a generic unit?

Cheers

John

Added: Just to add, I have found some part numbers for a 2000 Rav but the model has only 2 Sensors, 1 A/F and 1 O2..mine has 2 A/F and two O2's I presume my Rav is akin to the 2001 model.....I will search on :D

Well with the use of a mirror, magnifying glass and torch I managed to get the number off the Sensor while on the car.

The Sensor code number is 89467-42010 for any one in the same predicament.

Now got one ordered a new one for £96.00 OME on eBay seemed a good price against the silly prices being banded about.

Just a question, do they come off OK or could there be a problem with it being in such a hot environment?

John
