Took my Roadster to my local Toyota stealer today, car in Granny mode, CEL blinking. They just called to say I have the following codes:

Code P0302 - Misfire Detected - Cyl. 2.

Code P0135 - Heated Oxygen Sensor Circuit - Bank 1 Sensor 1.

Code P0141 - Heated Oxygen Sensor Circuit - Bank 1 Sensor 2.

Can anyone tell me what this means for my wallet?

Pete.

Welcome to the club

The oxygen sensors fitted by Mr T will set you back about £200 each (there are three)

If you look HERE and click on "OXYGEN SENSOR REPLACEMENT" You will find a MUCH cheaper alternative ;)

The miss fire could be associated with faulty sensors, mine ran a bit lumpy until they were replaced but don't delay in changing them as the ECU might decide it is running too lean and dump bucket loads of fuel in the engine. :shutit:

Try the sensors and see what happens

Oxygen Sensors are in the exhaust so they can get covered in all kinds of crud like soot. this can stop them sensing properly. To sort it out, it might be possible to just clean (even polish) the Oxygen Sensors.... if you can get them out. It’s worth a try....

O2 sensors are almost impossible to clean... they get heated to 600+ degrees and coated in carbon, if 600+ heat doesn't clean them.. not a lot will... also, the small sensor wires are encased in a protective Shell and would be too delicate to wipe/brush with anything even IF you could get to them... replacement is really the only way. (buy from http://www.automedicsupply.com/index.php?&...&height=768 as they are the same as OEM but a lot cheaper)
