2003 Corolla

Hey all, I'm glad to have found a site like this. My 2003 corolla ce was in a collision last year and I took the opportunity to repair it myself (with minor help from some friends). I replaced the Radiator support (big job) the radiator, ac condenser, Battery, grille, hood, fenders, lights, air filter and hood latch. At the time of the collision the car stalled and I just hooked up the Battery and tried to start up the car. all the electronics work, and the engine starts and immediately cuts out. I was told that the car has an automatic cutoff switch that disengages the fuel from the engine during a collision. I was then told that if that was true the car would not start at all. Can anyone advise me what the problem might be? perhaps I did not connect a necessary wire? any ideas please.
