Squeaky Avensis

Hi All

Can anyone throw light on this one. 2001 Avensis GS Automatic.

If it's wet or been raining (a lot lately) the car developes an annoying squeak on tick over. Once the enging is under load or above 2.500 revs is disappears. It also goes completly once the engine has heated fully and been running a while, about an hour.

On dry days (we want more) there's no squeak at all !!

The preformance is top notch and the car runs well withourt any problems. Thank you all

If it is not coming from engine itself, you may well have a loose or worn drive belt ex: PAS or alternator.

I just thought it strange that it only squeaks on wet days. I never thought about it just possibly being a belt. I suppose it would take a while to dry out after a really damp night, and we have had lots of those lately
