St205 Gearbox And Rear Diff

Ok which is the best oils to put in your gearbox and rear diff? I just had my car mot'd, which it passed but the guy said i can't remember exactly but im sure he said he thinks i have a gearbox leak or somewhere in that area. I have been checking under the car and there has been no puddles of oil so im not sure what is going on, these people were recommended and i got discount cause they knew the person who recommended them. I guess im going to have to jack it up and take a look at the weekend but if anyone has any ideas please let me know. I also recently had an engine change and since then whenever you engage the clutch and you pull away it sounds like i am driving a diesel car, however there doesnt seem to be any problem that has come from it and i have done over a thousand miles im just thinking drain the gearbox and put some good oil in it, any ideas let me know. cheers

i took a 5l drum to my local toyota dealers who gave me it back full of standard gearbox oil for free. - result
