I would say £4700-5000 in swap, selling private you could get close to £6000, it all depends how hard you haggle or how long your prepared to advertise for. To be honest though if you can live with 3drs then dont sell as i imagine you will be taking a big hit on depreciation, if your rich then forget depeciation!!

it says 29,000 in the original post! thats twenty nine thousand, not 290,000 (two hundred and ninety thousand) as you say borodaz.

29,000 is not bad mileage on a 4 year old car, considering average mileage is somewhere between 8,000 and 12,00 per year for a normal car user.

When I bought my car it had 19k on the clock, hard it around 18 months and done 25k :(

im jst havin a look around at the mo but really do fancy a cupra r. i kno its not goin be as good as the corolla for reliabity but gets a good right up on everythin iv read so far plus are that little bit bigger, iv been strugglin with the baby seat in n out of the back coz my passenger seat will only tilt and u cant move back or forward no matter what due to a pin breaking and the drivers seat tilts but u haft to use the handle underneath to pull it forward but then u gott re position it every time u take the car seat in n out,

and i did re edit the origional post lol.

but if i do sell really need to put the origional air box back on due to the typhoon developing a hole but ill get a new pipe of k & n when its off if i sell it, think id put her up for 6300 and jst sit on n wait not in a massive rush to sell really. hopefully looking at the passinger and drivers seat this weekend and any help would greatfull.

Good luck with the sale. Hope you get a decent price for the 'Rolla!

I was thinking of a change too but raising fuel and car tax costs have scuppered my plans for hte time being.

Doesn't seem to make economical sense to run a hot hatch at the moment.

ill agree with u on that one , i love the rolla gotta admit even showed up an old bloke in a type r the other night. obv dint have little n in the car lol. the rising cost at the mo is daft. lookin at the tax as well from next year its goin rise to 300 quid for the rolla but its the same as the cupra r so running costs shouldnt cost me much different. jst unsure what to do jst kno its goin be alot easier with a five door, gotta say tho this forum is top never had so much help and replies to any problems , its been great,

I find the Rolla pretty cheap to run (touchwood :( ), if your getting itchy feet remember swapping cars with a dealer will cost £1500 (i.e the profit they make) this pays for a fair bit of tax/fuel/servicing etc.

When I bought mine, I really wanted the facelift version but as they didn't do a 5 door version I ended up with the pre-facelift. And the main reason for getting the 5 door was so that I wouldn't have to sell it if any nippers came along, and it was then down to my own choice as to when I got rid of it. I'll be moving away from hatches when I change cars next though, and I'll get a saloon of some description (Audi and BMW are the top contenders right now) :D

I was gonna sell mine a few weeks ago. It's a 53 plate 3 door Thunder Grey with leather. 38k miles and good condition.

Had it up for £5,995 and didn't get a sniff of interest.

With the crap car market at the moment I could sell it but not for decent money, so I've just decided to keep it! :D

Thats some logical thinking, however  , my plan is to keep the Rolla till she hits 100k (take about 3-3.5 yrs) then get the Mrs whatever she wants, then strip the Rolla totally and use her as a track car as it will be worthless at 8yrs old with 100k on it. (Thats the car not the wife)

well the passenger seat has been fixed, me and me mechanic mate took the seat out today and and managed to sort it well for now lol, we ended up havin to grind dow the welds on the pin on the handle which wasnt easy then gettin some nuts n bolts cuttin the bolt down to size feed it thru it put 4 nuts on it to give it some strength, to say it wasnt easy was an understatement, but its sorted and works so might c how i get on with it, prob will end up puttin her up for sale in the end but at least the seat is one ledd thing to worry bout when i sell it
