Why An Aygo Instead Of A C1 Or 107?

Spend the extra & go for the 5 door!!!

My wife's Aygo is 5 door one. My Mrs wouldn't buy 3 door car because of a baby. My Astra SXI was 3 door car and it really was pain in a"se to take the baby in and out.

In a few months time I'll buy 3 door for myself though (Astra Mk4 GSI).

So glad I chose the 5 door - was lucky. I nearly made a big mistake. For an extra £250 the extra doors are well worth it. I managed to beat the price down anyway - so well happy.

noooo 5 doors is ugly

but handy if you need them lol

Generally, I much prefer 3 door cars, but the 5 door aygo does still look good - must be worth checking out both styles.

the 5 Door C1 is ugly, though - with a capital U

Seems to be quite a lot of satisfied Aygo Platinum Owners out there  Me included!!

I went for the 5dr as i don't like the looks of the 3dr - that one great big door on the side makes it look like a barn entrance imo... Plus i prefer practicality hands down so the Platinum won it for me in terms of equipment, value and, of course, money saving!

The interior is excellent however i would wish for a lower seat - the current ones are a bit high for my liking...

Whatever you do, do not get a 3 door! For £250 the 5 door option is unbelievably more practical. You will find the boot is tiny and annoying as the parcel shelf sticks up when you drop the hatch showing the contents of the boot. It is also very fiddly to get anything in the boot that is bigger than a small shopping bag due to the high lip and the size of the boot. Having two back doors is an absolute god send.

As for why I chose a Toyota:

Loads more trim levels.

Better resale value.

Better main dealer servicing, customer service etc.

Better reputation (Toyota is always the best ranked car in the surveys!!!)

Better image.

Better styling than the cheap looking Citroen and the gaudy looking Peugeot.

One last thing, go for the Blue, Silver (Platinum) is so yesterday! :o

I like you, although Slate blue is unoriginal :P

Is Slate Blue the "icy blue" that is the colour of the Aygo on the TOC Logo?

to be totally honest, I really, really, REALLY dislike that colour - nothing to do with Toyota, I think it is a awful colour for any car.

It is a shame the Aygo Platinum is only available in Platinum  - I would fancy a Metallic Black one but in the Platinum spec

Sawa Slate Blue and an Ice Blue parked next to each other in Bognor today, and I'm sorry I just don't like the colours - SJ your aygo looks right.

Personally I think the darker colours or the red show off the car much more.

Ice Bliue - Slate Blue isn't too bad (I would not choose it myself either); Logoon Blue is nicer (still not sure if I would go for it ;) )

I also like the dark colours best (I was looking for a Black or Carbon Quartz RAV, but ended up with a Cadmium Green one as the price was right, but wouldn't be my first choice still)

Be boring if everyone liked the same colours - variety is good

Went into my dealer today to have a look in the flesh.

Car is nice and roomy, but they only had a 3 door, so I got in the back - good legroom in it. But I could not get out of the !Removed! thing  took about 5 minutes to extricate myself, so I cannot imagine me old mum or mum-in-law ever managing that

Def gonna be a 5-door if we get one
