Has anyone carried out a dyno test on a stock tsport?

Thats a good question you know... I'd like to know that too. Ive got a blitz induction kit and when I get my back box i'll take to Watford for a dyno run.

Cheers

It'll be good to know how CKMAN's TS compare to a TYPE R or MK5 GTI...

Anyone want to go to the bdev Southeast/essex Jap Meet on Saturday 27th September ??

Im gna take my car to my m8 dads garage to hav a dyno run and gna see wot his recommendation is and if he cud up the power. Hes a really good mapper. Im not disapointed with the result, but just feel the car can produce a little bit more power

At least it's map-able tho! :D

Know what you mean about the power, Gem's CTS got 201bhp from a K&N Typhoon and TTE Back Box.

But no 2 dyno's are the same! ;)

Its odd as Ckman has some great mods and all his work on the car is properly done, hes got a full system with racing cat, lowered, induction kit im sure he can get much more!

Its a nice result, but its a shame the second dyno was not done in 4th gear like the first one, as that would be an accurate representation of any gain. The 3rd gear pull would give a completely different result anyway and as such shouldnt be used for direct comparison. Dyno pulls are always done in 4th gear as thats the 1:1 gearing direct from the engine.

At the end of the day...As long as you think it drives better, its all good!

yeh, thats another thing that i was thinking, bcos he dyno'd the car on 3rd gear with the 204.3hp. Well ive booked my car in this Monday to hav a check on my m8's dads dyno, which appaerently is more accurate and hes a really good mapper, so im gna see wot his opinion on the map result and wot hes done and maybe he can map it even betta for me. Fingers crossed ;)

Hmmmm im REALLY considering supercharging it now AHAHAHAHA, but not n e time soon. GOD why did i not just buy a compressor at the 1st place wud of made sooo much more sense AHAHAHAHAHA

think you were done a bit there - eagle eyed star_69 well spotted! didnt like the look of the graph then it was more clear when the gearing was pointed out. if your dad's garage has a good mapper why did you take it to the unknown? you should have got 200 at the wheels with a decent piggyback and a tuner without spurs! only been looking into it recently - after ae111sr's post about wideband............

I wanted a compressor sooooooo badly! i was looking and looking but i couldnt find one for less than 10k from a dealer. Needed it from a dealer as had an existing finance on the car which i couldnt bother with the hassle of paying off and then taking a loan again so thought id rather make a change in the nearest price possible and i found this t-sport. Im really happy but i badly wanted a compressor as i can see myself heading down the same path as you putting money down to get performance parts. Im concentrating on the styling first tho then i think i may aswell save the money from exhausts etc and jsut charge it.

But keep at it Ckman the car looks great!

The beauty of supercharging is you keep your engine mods and just add boost. Intake, manifold, cams, exhaust and chip (with remap piggypacking the ecu supplied with the s/c) can all be kept. Although you could be different and turbo it ;)

I didnt want to go to my m8's dads place bcos i wasnt to sure if he actually fits ecu or piggy backs, whereas wen i went to Redline just to hav the car dyno'd he said he cud add a piggy back and map it for me. Well lets see wot my m8 dad says about it and wot he can do. Will get back to u lot

Any ideas on cams ? i have been looking but cannot find any companies that do cams for the t-sport, charging it is real expensive i reckon just typhoon, apexi, exhaust, chipping and a set of cams should do the job and i will leave the car alone. As it doesnt seem like any huge gains can be made without putting alot of money down!
