St202 Aerial

hi all, ive recently bought a 94 Celica GT and have already attracted attention from the vandals in the Reading area. The aerial had been bent about 5 inches upwards from the base, and is pretty horizontal. Im afraid if i attempt to bend it back it might just snap off. If this did happen, would i still get reception from the remaining base of the aerial? I dont particularly want to buy a new one as i dont often use the radio, but it needs to be sorted as it looks ridiculous!

Also, ive noticed that when accelerating and braking, the car's steering seems to go very light - almost like driving on ice. Is this normal for a celica of this age? Its done 90,000 miles and has a full service history.

Any help on these 2 matters would be excellent

i had an aerial problem myself, i have a 95' st202, but my aerial goes back into itself once ignition is turned off?? anywayz, because i didnt turn it off in a car wash one day it snapped. the actual motor is about 200 but the metal tube that is around 60, as long as its not actually damaged the wire inside replacing the metal outter case shouldnt cost that much.

and about your steering mate, mines over 90k and i've never heard of light steering? recommend get a mechanic to look at this ASAP.
