I have a 2000 4Runner SUV (I live in USA). It is equipped with alarm system as well as controlling locks. Recently both key fobs have stopped working (will only work sporadically - 10% of the time). This happens in many lcoations - I don't think it is interfenece that some threads discuss. Does anybody know where Toyota places the receiver. Since both transmitters are having the same problem I am suspecting a dirty receiver lens (my hope) or something else wrong with receiver. I checked under both front seats which I have seen in other systems - nothing there.
