Hello, New Corolla

Hello,

I'm 16 and living in East Sussex. I've just bought a 1993 Toyota Corolla 1.3L from eBay and will be arriving at mine tomorrow (have already seen it though as it is about 30 minutes drive away). I've checked the insurance costs and it was 700 pounds for me as a second driver.

I got it cheap due to the fact that cylinder 2 is misfiring which my dad and I can fix.

Looked at a '93 Corolla 1.3 Sportif when i first passed my test, insurance came out at £2k! :o

So i bought a new Yaris instead!

Yeah I had quotes like that on other things like Corsas etc.. only seemed to do it on certain insurance companies though.. I even managed to get a small 1L car (cant remember what it was) costing more insurance than a 1.6 Ford Capri lol

Best quote i got for my Yaris was from Norwich Union

1.0 Yaris? That'll be £4.5k! :o

4.5k on a 1.0 yaris?!? haha!

I can beat that though. My cheapest for my 1.4 8valve 206 was £2k, which I had to accept. The most expensive was 7K! LOL!
