It'l go in but half the sensors have different plugs so most things wont plug in. This will result in the car running ***** and being heavy on juice. Way around it is to get the whole loom and engine etc aswell as the ECU from a 1990 GTI but thats alot of work and a bit of a pain.

Find a decent TVIS lump, theres a couple on eBay being broken and 'AE92lover' has a low millege one available.

yes boss, i have a low mileage engine, only done 85,000 miles, still has the 4age sticker on the menifold from new. genuine miles. its still in the car so you can hera it running.

and momin is right, you will have to change the wiring loom.

there is not much difference between the engines, only 6bhp different.

momin will explain the rest of the differences!!!!!!!!
