Oil Types For Diesel/petrol Models.

Hi,

I have a 2005 corolla 2.0 D4D, it has just been in for an oil & filter change.

It has had Shell Helix 10w/40 put in, but it is a diesel engine, will this cause a problem?

I didnt realise that there was a Shell helix diesel option, what is the difference, if any??

the label on the can - that's the difference! did the same but in reverse, got diesel mobil1 and i wouldnt run a diesel - rang them up and the they put me in touch with the tech peeps, same stuff just labelled different.
