Starting Trouble

Hi all Im wondering if anyone can help with my starting trouble...

Oki have a MK2 1992 MR2 2.0 GTi ( 3sge engine ) i knew the car has startin trouble when bought it, i thought it needed a new starter, once its started it runs fine with no problems. Ok when i try start the car it clicks but doesnt turn over, It would start with ajump start, or bump start, I used to hit the starter with a pole cause i thot it was a sticky starter and it would start also. I recently bought a new starter for it but it still does the same thing the Battery has been replaced and the alternator charges up as it should, also the AM2 fuse blows if it has a 7.5-10 amp fuse in it

Geez, I was gonna say its defo the Battery, you checked u have a good earth?
