Hello, over here in Denmark we have very steap taxes, so i had to go with a E12, 3 door, 1,4 VVTI, great little car, but at a breakers yard I have spotted a T-sport, with a nice steering wheel, where you can control the radio.. Does anyone know if this fits my normal Corolla?

Hi there attempted to do this a while back however it will not fit as the fitments are different for the steering and also the airbag.

are you sure farhan?

I'm sure they are the same between the facelifts and the non-facelift.

So if your car is a facelift and the breakers yard is also a facelift they will fit, its a straight swap.

a non-facelift will not fit a facelift and vice versa, the connectors are different.

Mine is a non facelift, and the one at the breakers is also a non facelift.....

But apart from the actual fitting of the steering wheel, how is the radio connected to the steering wheel? I will probably need some kind of cable?

Well whilst you are pulling the steering wheel out, just trace back the cables from the steering controls to the radio and take that as well.

if your lucky there will be a connector behind your steering wheel, just plug the new wheel into that. its called a spiral assembly.

I tried from a facelift to a facelift and i ahve a spare t-sport steering. Basically how you unbolt them is different and the fitment is different. the t-sport steering unclips from the bottom, the non t-sports need to be removed from the sides via torx screws. I would double check tho for pre facelifts but i do doubt it from experience my one didnt work.

I thought that aswell nrgizerbunny but when i bought the steering tried everything and it didnt work, airbag was different, audio controls were the same however.

The facelift steering for the t-sport looked exactly the same as my facelift corolla only difference was the stitching and look. However gave it a go and it was different.

Best advice to find out for you is to find out how your steering wheel comes off with torx screws or putting a screw driver under the steering and unclipping it. As someone gave me a guide to remove the steerign wheel i think it was smoftah and that was to remove the pre facelifts. Check how the T-sport one comes off
