Bouncy Ride On 1.8sr?

I just test drove a 1.8SR which left me feeling a bit underwhelmed.

The interior felt nice and I loved the body kit although I thought that perhaps the 17" alloys is pushing it.

The bit that put me off though is the car seems to start to bounce every now and again and doesn't feel as planted as the 1.4D-4DSR that I tried.

Another downside is the engine doesn't feel that nippy and the diesel felt it had far more torque where it counted.

In the end I've decided to look for a cheap pre reg 1.4D-4dSR in black, even though I prefer the interior of the 1.8SR.

So...given that both the 1.8SR and the 1.4SR are lowered how come the 1.4SR didn't suffer from the bouncy ride of the 1.8SR?

Anyone else driven both that can comment?

PS. the deal on the 1.8SR was phenomenal with 29miles on the clock, £10499!

I havent seen any 1.4D-4DSR anywhere near that price.
