Had a little trip out today.

I went to the Bubble Car Museum

Met up with SJ and H there and had a day of wonder and amazement at the bizarre and unusual cars on display.

Not the biggest place in the world, but massively interesting and entertaining to see some unusual motoring history for £2.50 entry !

Well worth a trip if you're in the area, or fancy a trip out sometime.

( get your pics up Sarah ! )

Isn't it nice to see a museum dedicated to a type of car such as tripods

it was fairly spur of the moment as the museum is closing for the winter in a few weeks. However, it would be a great place for meets ( when it's open of course ) as it has it's own campsite adjacent - and 2 B&Bs within a few hundred yards.

My mate used to have an Isetta and I always remember driving it in the snow, because cars left two tracks and the little bubble car had three with the drive wheel at the back, we spent our time scooting down the road like a crab

Another friend had a Bond three wheeler, that was one seriously fast, lethal machine  It had a Hillman Imp engine and weighed less than a peanut, all that on three wheels was definitely interesting to say the least

Ouch! I used to have a Heinkel, which was very similar to the Trojan & the Isetta

Only time, ever, that my Insurance Co squealed @ what I'd bought. :fear:

I can remember going down the M1 to London in a mates Bond Equipe...................(Three wheeled car with a single front wheel powered by a Villiers engine.................no reverse gear).

The car seized on the motorway and we had to be towed off by his dad.......................Ahh.........memories ;)
