K&n Filter For Avensis Verso Vvti

I thought I'd share my experience in finding the correct K&N replacement air filter for the Avensis Verso, which is: don't go just by website reference, measure yourself! ;)

On www.toys4cars.co.uk I found this:

Avensis Verso 2.0 VVT-i 2001>:

K&N 33-2739

And ordered it. Didn't fit. :( this one is rectangular and 308x148x29mm, I needed one with rounded corners. The weird thing was, that the k&N website gives me this application list"

Maybe the key word is (Eng.) here as I have a LHD model?

I then measured my standard filter, it should be 290x150mm with rounded corners, and through a mann cross-reference table I found the right one on the www.knfilters.com website.

It should be 33-2252 though it doesn't explicitly list the Avensis Verso in its application list.

But it fits! Size: 289x149x25mm
