Newbie In Need Of Help!

Have just sold my v6 saab in search of something more cost effective and came across a 1998 1.3 auto 3dr spotif in lipstick red (mmmmm nice!!) from friends of my parents.They have owned since new and has covered a whopping 20912 miles and even with the small mileage had it serviced every year religiously at the local dealership.It hadn't been used for the last 10 months and has been sat in their garage.Picked it up this morning and it started almost instantly with a jump pack and took straight for a mot at the same toyota dealership.Had to fork out for a new toyota Battery as the old one was beyond recovery but passed the mot with no advisories.The only problem i've found is the idle speed is high at around 1300 rpm when warm? a friend of mine suggested it's probably the idle control valve sticking? any suggestions on how to sort or any other areas to look at would be gratefully received.

Did a few miles today and has sorted itself.If it was stuck,it ain't now!!! :)
