Front Pads And Discs

My Gen 6 has just failed it's MOT on front discs and pads and a loose wheel bearing. Quote is £103 for pads and discs plus £80 labour plus VAT on all of it. Does that sound like a fair price?

That depends on what brand of Discs/Pads you are being quoted on. Go for a known brand such as EBC, Black Diamond, Mintex or Red Dot.

they'll just be no name copies so i assume you're saying that's expensive then? What's a good online shop to look for the parts?

Depends what you want. Performance or not performance, the difference is not cheap and cheap.

I had my brakes done as they had all worn at the same time, cost me 400 Pounds for uprated front dics, standard back discs uprated front pads and standard rear pads and labour. I would say the price you've been given is a fair one.

doesn't need to be performance, my boy racing days are behind me! I use the car for work and do lots of miles, never had a problem with the standard brakes and to be honest they feel fine at the moment if not as progressive as they used to be.

Thanks for the advice
