Toc Word Censor

There are various words that the TOC Word Censor automatically corrects (as opposed to blanks out or corrupts - the 'naughty' words)

prime example is the (I actually typed t e h then, not t h e) and then (when you type t e h n).

I would like to nominate two more ....

liek > like

thign > thing

I keep getting those two screwed up as well as the and then (and probably others)

anyone got any more to nominate?

oh right. I still use IE for my sins.

PS - I tried IE8 Beta 2 and it was useless on here- the reply window always stretched to the width of the screen rather then the width of the Browser window - right pain, it were.

Removed now

Every time somebody sends me a RAV chassis number, the spell checker jobby corrupts it automatically  J T E H always arrives as J T H E, it tries to spell THE out of a blinkin VIN number ..........Doh!

Kingo

Firefox has a built in spell checker...as said it shows a little dotted line along wrong spelled words...Also Opera has a built in spell checker as well...IE is just rubbish any version.............I'll get me coat......

One last thing...helps to use the Preview Post button first...just to make sure what you've typed looks OK before pressing the Add Reply.....

But isn't it easier to just type rubbish and have the forum software correct it for you :D

I am still campaigning for the "which toyota" poll to get the auto-correction applied ...... :nerd:

:robot:

Ah, you voted corolla; I think you meant RAV4; I will correct that for you

:goof:

I think common typos is ok.. what I cant stand is when a forum will substitute a rude word with what may have once upon a time been a 'witty sentence'.. or blanks out the name of other clubs and changes it to TOC... really stupid if you happened to be slagging that club off at the time lol :P

I have tried to post the name of a website a few times in repsonse to a question and because it had the letters - t e h in sequence, the word censor 'corrected' it to t h e and broke the link - very annoying and I thought it was deliberate censoring until I sussed it.
