Mr T Salesman told me the TTE Back Box added 7bhp!

Don't think it does somehow but Gem's CTS was Dyno'd at 201bhp with the TTE back box and K&N Typhoon.

K&N say 7.5bhp increase from the Typhoon so that would leave 4.5bhp from the back box on the claimed 189bhp engine.

Deffo looks and sounds much better though!

For around the same price my local garage can do a full stainless exhaust system

Just something else to consider!

Probably, don't know too much about exhausts and the bhp gain from them but i would've thought a custom system would give better gains than just the back box.

Ive just been told by john at parts king that he rang toyota and they said the tte back box doesnt fit on the facelift model, can anyone put this right?

it definately does a few members have them fitted to facelifts! Someone else had this problem with ordering and they just ordered the pre-facelift exhaust.

Here is the part number you need:

PZ439-E9714-00

It is for the facelift 1.8 T Sport direct from the TTE website!

Yup he's said that before but it can be fitted!

Think Toyota said that you need to modify the rear bumper for it to fit which is utter rubbish!

Best thing to do is get a system with the backbox, so use the tte backbox and change the through pipes! that would defo give a bit more bhp if the backbox really does give any gain?

Mine went on without any body modifications or anything. Pretty simple 10 min job, if you can get your old bolts undone!

Though it does sit wonky in the original mounts! Gunna have a fiddle with mine sometime to get it straight. Gaz's must have had some work done to it to get it straight, It looked welded differently to mine when I checked (No Gaz, I don't mean your recent work either :D)
