94 Celica Motor Blew Need Help

Okay so i have a 1994 Toyota Celica with a 7a-fe motor and california emissions. I went to my local junkyard and found a 7a-fe with federal emissions....Can i use this motor? Do i need the ecu out of the junk one? I dont care about check engine lights, i just need a motor in and running. Also, can i use that 5a-fe or whatever motor it is, there are a bunch at the junkyard.

i would imagine the 7afe engines would swop with little difficulty and if you run your ecu should be fine but if you go down the route of different engine then you will need ecu and maybe other bits like harness compatible to the engine
