Advice Regarding Car Radio ...

We currently have the original CD/ radio our Rav4 W reg year 2000 but we have the chance to replace it with an AlpineCDA 9847R . They are both single CD players.

Question is can we simply exchange them with ease ? My son seems fairly confident and he has fitted quite a few in other cars.

I am just concerned about the red flashing light in that is visible when we take our own CD player out .

Is the red light just a deterent or is it connected to the Rav alarm ??

Thanks for any replies !!

don;t know for 100% positive, but reckon the flashing light will be on the radio only.

You may need to get Toyota to ISO cable adapters (needed on RAV4.2 for sure) - available on eBay for around £4 inc P&P

Installation method:-

Smash the drivers door window and force door open.

Rip out existing radio, together with red flashing light.

Important to wear rubber gloves in case of leaving fingerprints or blood.

Phone the polis the next day and say you have a problem.

Phone the insurance company the next day and say you have a problem.

They will very kindly look after you - and arrange to have radio fitted and the nasty dirty window replaced with a nice shiny new one.

Job Done! B)
