I was surprise when i saw the new Corolla XRS in Car&Driver

It's interesting coz they state it's a sub eight second car to 100 in the article. It also has alot more torque down low and midrange, and it's a whole 22hp short of the Euro spec 2zz. Hmmmm

And the redline begins at 6500 revs if you look at the picture!! How could this be??? The present 2ZZGE engine has a redline-zone starting at 8200 rpm and it is not possible to enter it before the revlimiter does it's job.

Then if Toyota claims 170 bhp at 7800 rpm you need to enter the redline-zone on the new engine and what iv'e been told you should NOT do that because you could really get damage to the engine.
