Auris Tyre Wear

Hi!

Am new to this forum. I own an auris 2.0TR D4D. bought it from new in March 2007, and have 11K on the clock. To my surprise have had to replace the left front tyre as it had scrubbed on the outside edge. Have had the tracking checked and all seemed Ok according the guys at the tyre shop. Am putting 35psi in front tyres and keeping an eye on it. Any suggestions from other owners? would appreciate any advice.

i have an 07 plate 2ltr d4d and had the same thing with my first set of tyres which needed changing after 10k. on the second set ive got them at 38 psi which seems to have cured it as ive done nearly 19k and the wear is even. hope that helps

Many thanks for all advice- feel a bit better about car now as i have been worrying. The guys at the tyre place have not done the wheel alignment- should i pester them to do it?

Will have a go at changing the psi to 38.

Will let you know how it goes.

i dont think it's a matter of tyre pressure since it's only one tyre which is getting worn more, so i would say give it a go for the alignment. unless it's a manufacturer's defect but in this case we would heard more complaints...
