96 celica GT fast idle ?

Had my UK 96 Celica GT about 6 mths and recently with the cold weather the fast idle seems to run at 2000rpm initially gradually dropping to an indicated 800rpm when engine has warmed through. I wondered if 2000rpm was excessive as it was only starting at 1500 until this really cold spell.

it does seem a little high...but aslong as it is droping thats a good sign,take it to the dealer,it may just need adjusting

Took it to local Toyota dealer and they said it should idle at 2000rpm gradually dropping to 1500 and finally 1000rpm when at normal temp, so am quite happy .:)
