Oil Change Light Verso

I have just joined the TOC so hi to everybody.

My D4D TR Verso was serviced before 20,000 miles, on it's second anniversary.

I spend part of the year in France and the light has just come on at 20,000 miles. The handbook instructions to reset it are less than clear!

I would appreciate some help (in plain English) to reset it. I have seen advice for other models, but the Verso has an ignition button/plastic key arrangement rather than the usual ignition switch/lock.

You mean that the light came on your TNS 700 or in the DASH ????

You have the hold down the reset button by the instrument clocks with the ignition on (not running)

keep it held down and turn off ignition then turn back on again.

you will see a series of lines come up on the display - keep button held down until you get a series of '0's then the mileage will appear.

oil change light will now be reset

cant remember which setting the odometer needs to be in ( mileage, trip A or trip B) try it with mileage showing first, if this doesnt work try trip A&B.

Why could'nt Toyota have been as clear in the handbook? What is an ordinary mortal to make of IGN and ACC modes etc ?

I'll write it in the handbook for next time.
