Faulty Break Booster (servo)

LADY DRIVERS ARE BEST

I hope somebody can help because my local garage have just confirmed that my 2001 RAV4 needs a new "break booster" as Toyota call it (break servo) as it is leaking air causing the pedal to slowly depress. Toyota want £475.00 + VAT.

Can anybody suggest either a company that can recondition this part or an alternative suppler to Toyota.

Thanks

Welcome to the club best driver!

I should drop in the hint that you are not the best speller as we are talking about brakes and not the thing you have with a Kit-Kat ;)

Let me understand this properly. You are saying that with the engine idling if you press the break (just kidding  ) brake, the pedal creeps to the floor?

If so don't worry they all do it.

If not please explain what happens. I just don't want you wasting money.

Regards
