I had this on my Corolla. I took the brake pads off and rubbed on some copper grease on the back of the pads. Hey presto the squeaking is gone!

No dont rub them together or back to front.

Take off the brake pads off the car, get the first one and with your finger rub on some cooper grease to the back of the brake pad (not the side that touches the disc!) and do the same for all the brake pads.

Look at this guide made by another member:

Look at step 17 and it shows him putting copper grease on the back of the brake pad.

If you get the pads off also worth rubbing copper grease on the shims.

Check how much pad you have left also....and if you are unsure about taking the pads off a car take it to a garage.... the labour cost to do this should not be more then £50 for an independent.
