Depends! if you want the noise, Yes!

You wont get massive gains from a cold air intake on small engines, but atleast they can sound quite good!

I have small engine and I have to live with it.

I would like to increase power a little bit to be able to pass other cars faster, now it takes ages to pass big trucks.

Nice sound is also good.

If you get a cold air intake make sure that you get a proven kit that works well with the 1.4vvti. one is the K&N 57i. the kit brings its own pipe, heat shield, etc. bad kits actually make you lose power so you have to be careful. this one does not void warranty, and that is what you want.

To be realistic you cant go to far with this engine, you can just increase your driving experience. A cold air intake, a back box and some OZ wheels should do the trick.

What is special in OZ wheels?

I'm planing to buy some alloys on Spring, OZ is a good choice?

I just like how the OZ Ultralegerra look, but there is another upside with them. When you have a small engine with very little torque at disposal, the last thing you want to do is to put heavy oversize wheels. The Ultraleggera is the lightest wheel in its class. There are other so do look up for other options but make sure that you don't put too much weight on the wheels.

I have the Ultraleggera Matt Graphite 16x7 with 195/50-16 and i am happy with them. You can go for the 17"s with 205/54-16 and the car would be also fine. You will lose some of the ride comfort but eh style is everything. I had to go with the 16" because i need more comfort. My last ride had 17" rolling on 205/40-17 and it was awesome at cornering...until you hit a bump.

16" is enough for me. Larger wheels and tires are more expensive. In Poland we have very bad roads so 17" with low profile will break too fast.

If you want cold air induction, I would recommend a Pipercross air filter or the K&N Typhoon kit. These are two well known brands which are great and I can telL you this form personal experience because my dad owns 2.7l v6 Hyundai Coupe. I spent around an hour trying to fit the kit and even though my hands were torn up like spaghetti, it was TOTALLY worth the effort. The sound is fantastic and it's a great thing to hear even when you're not moving because you can hear the filter sucking in the air whe you lift up the hood.

Good luck with your chioce

I want to do custom cold air intake. Based on dyno graphs mechanics will prepare best (or will try to do this) cai for this engine.
