Hi There

My brothers cam belt has snapped on his 1.6 corolla. Can anyone tell be if this is an interference engine ????

Hi there - sorry to hear that!

I don't know if it's an interference engine or not but if the engine will still rotate then it's not and if it can't then it is unless the damge to the valves and pistons is such that the engine is now free to rotate in which case further investigation is going to be needed.
