Bonnet Release

Hiya, I have a problem with my X reg Celica and would be very grateful for any advice!

I opened the bonnet today to charge the Battery andnow it won't close securely. It stays on the latch. But it won't go to the locked position. The bonnet release catch under the dashboard feels loose. Cheers guys, in advance of any help!

the latch will of dropped . it will be held in place by 2 bolts . maybe more . loosen them and lift the latch slightly so it catches properly.

Thanks for that - you mean the latch under the bonnet?

It's as if the latch doesn't want to stay down for some reason, hence the bonnet won't close securely.

no not the under bonnet latch , i mean the catch on the slam panel near the radiator , lift this a bit and then the latch under the bonnet should get a better hold and stay down.
